Induction 20/21 Health & Safety

Updated: September 2, 2021

The number-one priority of the Hockey Hall of Fame (HHOF) is the health and well-being of all guests, workers and other persons who will be present at Meridian Hall on Monday, November 15, 2021. All decisions undertaken will be in keeping with indoor public-gathering by-laws and guidelines set forth by Provincial and City public health authorities, in addition to further precautions determined by HHOF.

In accordance with the Province of Ontario’s implementation of a mandatory vaccination policy for certain indoor public events to take effect on September 22, 2021, all attendees of the HHOF Induction Celebration will be required to provide proof of full COVID-19 immunization (or a negative COVID-19 test result only for persons with a verified medical exemption) along with Government-issued photo ID. Children who are 11 years of age or younger will be exempt from the foregoing requirements. It is anticipated that masks will be a continuing requirement for indoor events and physical distancing and other protocols may apply in hospitality areas where food and beverages are served.

With a seating capacity of 3,191 in the Meridian Hall Theatre, not more than 1,200 tickets will be issued with permitted access to reserved seating for viewing the live presentation of the HHOF Induction Ceremony (which also applies for access to hospitality areas across all levels adjacent to the Theatre). Tickets will indicate a designated hospitality zone and reserved seat row/number.

For efficient admittance to the venue, all guests will receive secure access to register and upload their proof of immunization via HHOF’s on-line portal opening on or before September 30, 2021. All indoor workers will be fully vaccinated, undergo venue entry screening and wear masks at all times.

Guests are asked to: (a) stay home if they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, (b) self-report positive COVID-19 testing, and (c) adhere to all safety guidelines as set out by government health officials. All guests will be required to follow all posted instructions while attending the HHOF Induction Celebration.

To help prevent the spread and transmission of COVID-19, HHOF is committed to:

• Providing access to hand sanitizers
• Encouraging physical distancing in all areas
• Cleaning and disinfecting high touch surfaces

Stay tuned for updates as further guidance from public health authorities becomes available.
